Services for local businesses
Work you can see before you pay for it.
Two engagements for an independent business in Summerville, Nexton and greater Charleston. Each has its own short written agreement. Neither needs the other, and neither needs you to install anything.
Websites, done for you
A one-page website for your business, built for you.
$399for each of the first three clients. Hosting and a domain, if you need them, are separate; you buy them in your own name. You pay after you approve the page and before it goes live.
Email about a websiteWhat you get
- One mobile-friendly page about your business, written from facts you confirm.
- A quote button that reaches you by phone or email, whichever you choose.
- One round of revisions.
- A Site Check review of the finished page: design, search basics, structured data, the path to the quote button, and the factual claims on the page.
- Three matching graphic samples.
How it works
- You send your business name and your current website, if you have one.
- We agree the scope in writing and you send your details.
- We send the first draft within 10 business days of receiving everything.
- You send one list of changes within 7 days, and we make them.
- You approve the page. You pay only after you approve it, and before it goes live.
Not included: rankings, leads, certification, more pages, hosting, domain, migrations or later updates. If you already have a multi-page site, this is a refresh of its home page; your other pages and working inquiry paths stay as they are.
Local Review
A written review of what your customers already see of you online.
$249once. By email within five business days of your agreement. You pay after it arrives, within seven days, by card.
For a business with a website of its own.
Ask about a Local ReviewWhat Backbrief reads
Only what is public. Nothing is logged into, submitted or changed.
- Your website, if you have one: how it reads on a phone, whether Google can find and show it, its structured data, what an AI assistant says when asked for a business like yours, the path to a quote or a booking, and every claim it makes.
- Your listings: whether Google, Bing Maps, Apple Maps and the directories you name agree with your website and with each other, and which services on your Google listing your site never describes.
- Your public copy on your site, booking page, Facebook intro and Google listing, each claim checked against what backs it.
What comes back
- A verdict for each section: pass, fix, stop, not checked or not applicable.
- Every claim read, tagged verified, unverified or vendor claim, with what it was checked against.
- A fix list addressed to whoever does your fixing: you, your web person or your platform.
- The questions only a licensed professional can answer, written as questions.
- The date and time each page was read.
How it works
- You reply to the offer email. Backbrief sends the short agreement and asks which surfaces are yours.
- You reply "I agree." Reading starts.
- The review arrives by email within five business days.
- You pay $249 by card through a Stripe link after it arrives.
- One reply round within 14 days: your questions in one email, the answers in one email.
Not a fix: Backbrief changes nothing on your site, listing or page. Not a guarantee of rankings, mentions in AI assistants, calls, leads or sales. Not legal, tax or financial advice. Not a subscription, not a website, and not a sales pitch for one. A quote or contract you are about to sign is not part of this review.
What a service is not
A service delivers the work described and the findings behind it. It does not promise rankings, calls, leads or sales, and no Backbrief report is a certification. Charles runs the checks and reads each review before it is sent. Publishing stays yours: a page goes live only after you approve it, and Backbrief changes nothing on your site or listings; the fix list is for whoever does your fixing.
