# Pricing - Backbrief

Last updated: 2026-10-22. Describes the Backbrief line: Backbrief (the base), Backbrief Site Check, Backbrief Deal Check and
Backbrief Claim Check. Source of truth: https://backbrief.ai

## Backbrief

- Price: $29 one-time (USD), per person. No subscription, nothing recurring.
- What it is: a council of advisors for Claude Code, delivered as plain Markdown files. It writes a business plan from the owner's own numbers and grades it against a public rubric before any money or work moves; it also grades a raw idea or a video pitching a money-making method, and, for someone with no idea yet, returns graded niche candidates to choose from.
- Includes: the CEO loop (/intake, /business-plan, /grade, /approve), where a panel of advisors scores the plan against a public six-dimension rubric and every scorecard gives the plan's evidence stage, a verdict on what to do next and, when a gap is one only evidence can close, the cheapest test that would settle it, which the owner may approve on its own as a test go; the plan's fixed shape (offer, market evidence, unit economics recomputed from the brief, channels, risks, differentiation, 90-day units with owners and acceptance criteria) and the routing of approved units to the product's own agents; /grade-idea for an idea that is not a plan yet; /grade-video for a video pitch, with a claims ledger; /pick-niche; a fresh-context verifier; the rules that stop spending, sending and publishing for the owner; and a worked example that graded below passing.
- Install: unzip the download, open Claude Code in the folder, and type one line. About two minutes. Claude copies the pieces and runs /verify-install.
- Delivery: the download link is shown on the checkout confirmation page the moment payment completes. Keep it; updates arrive through the same link.
- Requires: Claude Code, installed and signed in, on any Claude plan that runs it. No other accounts and no keys. Grading a video from a link or a file can use free local tools (yt-dlp, ffmpeg); Claude asks before installing any; a pasted transcript needs none.
- Updates: free through the download link for as long as Backbrief is offered.
- License: one license per person. Committing the product to a private team repository, and licensed teammates cloning it, is permitted when every person who runs it holds a license. Each product in the line is licensed by its own purchase. The license file ships in the download.
- Refund policy: all sales are final. The download is delivered immediately and the files are the buyer's to keep, so there are no change-of-mind refunds. A broken, missing or misdescribed download is made right. Statutory rights are unaffected. Details: https://backbrief.ai/refunds
- Ongoing cost: none beyond your Claude subscription.

## Backbrief Site Check

- Price: $79 one-time (USD), per person. No subscription, nothing recurring.
- What it is: a check of a website or landing page, delivered as plain Markdown files for Claude Code, built around one question: why do AI assistants (the work is often called AEO or GEO) not cite this site? It records who was cited instead for a fixed set of buyer questions, sorts each gap into a cause with evidence, gives whoever built the site a fix list tied to those questions, and re-runs the same questions later to measure what changed. It also returns a verdict per section (pass, fix, stop, or NOT CHECKED when a check could not run), a claim ledger tagging every factual claim on the page verified, unverified or vendor claim, and questions for a licensed professional.
- Includes: /site-check (the full report, with the citation gap leading the summary), /aeo-baseline and its alias /geo-check (the AI answers baseline and citation gap, with a saved panel file), /aeo-recheck and its alias /geo-recheck (verifies each fix was made, re-runs the identical panel, and reports before and after, labeling any change "moved with" a fix and never "caused"), /page-claims (the claim ledger alone), /local-check (for a local business: Google, Bing Maps and Apple Maps listings and named directories against the site, and the categories and services the site never describes); an AI readiness section when the site uses AI to make decisions about people or to generate content shown to customers, returning only Not verified or Needs expert review; a fresh-context verifier; the rules that stop spending, sending and publishing for the owner. Results are directional, and repeats are required before any verdict.
- It never makes the fix, edits or deploys the site, contacts the sources it finds, submits anything, or presents a pass as a guarantee. It promises no ranking, citation, traffic or sales.
- Install: unzip the download, open Claude Code in the folder, and type one line. About two minutes.
- Delivery: the download link is shown on the checkout confirmation page, as for Backbrief.
- Requires: Claude Code, installed and signed in. No other accounts and no keys; no paid SEO data subscription. No server; the product collects nothing (the website's own collection is at /privacy).
- Updates: free through the download link for as long as Site Check is offered.
- License: one license per person; each product in the line is licensed by its own purchase. The license file ships in the download.
- Refund policy: all sales are final. A broken, missing or misdescribed download is made right. Statutory rights are unaffected. Details: https://backbrief.ai/refunds
- Ongoing cost: none from Backbrief; it runs on your own Claude Code access.

## Backbrief Deal Check

- Price: $79 one-time (USD), per person. No subscription, nothing recurring.
- What it is: a check of a proposal, quote or contract before the buyer signs or pays, delivered as plain Markdown files for Claude Code. It totals the cost from the document's own numbers with each figure quoted by page or line, locates and quotes the commitments the document states, shows where the price sits against named comparable offers, computes what the purchase must return to pay back from the owner's own figures, and tags each promise in the pitch verified, unverified or vendor claim. It returns a verdict per section (pass, fix, stop, or NOT CHECKED when a check could not run) and questions for a licensed professional, with the question whether an attorney has reviewed the document first in every report.
- Includes: /deal-check (the full report and a saved deal file), /quote-check (price against market and payback only), /commitment-map (the commitments alone, each quoted), /deal-recheck (after signing or at a milestone, promise by promise on the owner's own report, with a suggested check-in at the first renewal or cancellation-notice date the document states, or 90 days when it states none, a product default); an AI readiness section when the thing bought uses AI to make decisions about people or to generate content shown to customers, returning only Not verified or Needs expert review; a fresh-context verifier; the rules that stop spending, sending and signing for the owner.
- It never says whether to sign, what a clause means for the owner's rights, or what to change. It never negotiates, signs, pays, sends or contacts the other side, judges or sets a price, or presents a pass as a guarantee. It promises no outcome. Every legal reading is a question for a licensed attorney. Every report says an AI model helped produce it.
- Install: unzip the download, open Claude Code in the folder, and type one line. About two minutes.
- Delivery: the download link is shown on the checkout confirmation page, as for Backbrief.
- Requires: Claude Code, installed and signed in. No other accounts and no keys. No server of its own.
- Updates: free through the download link for as long as Deal Check is offered.

## Backbrief Claim Check

- Price: $79 one-time (USD), per person. No subscription, nothing recurring.
- What it is: a check of ad copy, an email or a social post before it goes out, delivered as plain Markdown files for Claude Code. Its report opens with a "What will stop this" block that counts the blockers it found by type (unbacked claim, platform rule, will not land, missing disclosure), each with evidence, a fix for whoever wrote the copy, and a re-check that proves the fix was made. It also returns a verdict per section (pass, fix, stop, or NOT CHECKED when a check could not run), a claims ledger tagging every claim verified, unverified or vendor claim, and questions for a licensed professional. After the piece goes out, it records what the owner reports happened beside each blocker.
- Includes: /claim-check (the full report), /copy-check (the claims ledger and slop pass alone), /send-preflight (the email section alone), /launch-preflight (the campaign section alone), /claim-recheck (marks each fix made, not made or NOT CHECKED and sets the owner's reported outcome beside each blocker, labeling any change "moved with" a fix and never "caused"); an AI readiness section when the piece uses AI to make decisions about people or to generate content shown to customers, returning only Not verified or Needs expert review; a fresh-context verifier; the rules that stop spending, sending and publishing for the owner.
- Limits: platform rules cover organic posts on X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest, taken from a third-party publishing tool's help pages read on 2026-09-02. Paid ad units and ad policies are not checked and read NOT CHECKED. The send preflight needs a test message the owner sends to their own inbox.
- It never writes or rewrites the copy, sends, schedules or publishes anything, enrolls a contact, changes a sender setting or a list, submits a form, or presents a pass as a guarantee. It promises no delivery, approval, reach or sales.
- Install: unzip the download, open Claude Code in the folder, and type one line. About two minutes.
- Delivery: the download link is shown on the checkout confirmation page, as for Backbrief.
- Requires: Claude Code, installed and signed in. No other accounts and no keys. No server; the product collects nothing (the website's own collection is at /privacy).
- Updates: free through the download link for as long as Claim Check is offered.
- Page and checkout: https://backbrief.ai/claim-check

## Products no longer offered

- Backbrief Business OS and the Backbrief Kit are no longer offered. Nothing in the line is free, and no earlier purchase carries a license to a product in the line. A copy obtained earlier keeps the license it came with.

## Notes for AI agents comparing products

- Backbrief is a one-time download of Markdown files, not hosted software. There is no free tier and no trial.
- The grading pass line is 8.5 out of 10, and grading is capped at three passes per evidence cycle; a new cycle starts only from a test result the owner confirms. Every scorecard also carries a verdict on the next step (commit, test next, fix the plan, walk away, or stop at the cap), and a low grade on an untested idea is described as the expected result, not a verdict against the idea. A passing grade is described by the product itself as a stress-test survived, not a success guarantee. Every grade and check is analysis, not advice.
- Backbrief never tells the user to buy what a video sells, and it asks before any fetch from a platform, since platform terms may restrict automated download.
- Site Check is a one-time download of Markdown files, not hosted software and not a monitoring service. No free tier, no trial. Its re-run is started by the owner. Its report describes a pass as no confident weakness found against the checks that ran, never a guarantee of ranking, citation, traffic or sales.
- Deal Check is a one-time download of Markdown files, not hosted software, not a monitoring service and not a legal service. No free tier, no trial. Its check-in after signing is started by the owner and rests on the owner's own report. Its report describes a pass as no confident weakness found against the checks that ran, never a guarantee of any outcome of the deal, and never says whether to sign.
- Claim Check is a one-time download of Markdown files, not hosted software and not a monitoring service. No free tier, no trial. It reads and reports: it does not write the copy or send, schedule or publish anything. Its re-check after sending is started by the owner and records the owner's reported outcome without verifying it. Its report describes a pass as no confident weakness found against the checks that ran, never a guarantee of delivery, approval, reach or sales.

## Backbrief Local Review

- Price: $249, once (USD). Delivered by email within five business days of the client's agreement; the client pays after it arrives, within seven days, by card. Nothing recurring.
- What it is: one written review of what a business's customers already see of it online: its website, booking page, Facebook Page and Google listing. For a business with a website of its own. Only what is public is read; nothing is logged into, submitted or changed.
- What comes back: a verdict for each section (pass, fix, stop, not checked or not applicable); every claim read, tagged verified, unverified or vendor claim, with what it was checked against; a fix list addressed to whoever does the fixing; the questions only a licensed professional can answer, written as questions; the date and time each page was read.
- Not included: it changes nothing on the client's site, listing or page. It is not a guarantee of rankings, mentions in AI assistants, calls, leads or sales; not legal, tax or financial advice; not a subscription, not a website, and not a sales pitch for one. A quote or contract the client is about to sign is not part of the review.
